Boxes and Bags Demo

On Friday, June 27th we held a Boxes and Bags Demo at the store! I appreciated seeing so many familiar and new faces in the crowd! Thanks for coming out!

Below are pictures of the boxes that were created, along with links to the online instructions and a few details about each one. If you have any questions about the boxes, please don't hesitate to email me at
Tammy@toyrifix.com.

Star Box - Online instructions can be found here. This sample was created using Liberty paper from Scenic Route. The tag was made with stamps from Stampendous. (All available at the store!) One customer said she was going to make these boxes, then fill them with pretzel rods dipped in white chocolate and decorated with red, white and blue sprinkles from The Oak Cupboard! What a great gift to take to a picnic on Friday to thank your hostess! I plan to make some up for my Dad, who were meeting up with on Friday for a picnic!

This sweet Criss-Cross box is filled with Puppy Chow! (The human kind... Crispix dipped in chocolate and peanut butter and coated with powdered sugar!) Online instructions can be found here. The paper used here is a new line we recently acquired from Scribble Scrabble. The stamps used on this project are from My Favorite Things, and the polka dot ribbon is from Bo Bunny.

Box-in-a-Bag - Super easy to make, there are so many possibilities for these little bags, and they'll hold a nice bit of goodies! Online instructions can be found here. The first bag uses paper from My Mind's Eye, and stamps from Gina K Designs. The second bag uses the Liberty paper again from Scenic Route and the America the Beautiful stamp set from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Remember, tomorrow is July 1st so the new Great Impressions Stamp of the Month will be on display! It'll be very appealing to all you pet lovers!

Also, don't forget the Nestabilities are back in stock, as well as Cuttlebug embossing folders! On the way are also new stamps from Memory Box, and My Favorite Things!

Happy stamping!

Nestabilities are here!

The wait is over, another shipment of Nestabilities have arrived! These are the very popular items we've been using here at Toyrifix quite a bit in stamp classes and demos! They are the ultimate in die-cutting and can be used with many different cutting systems including the Cuttlebug, Sizzix, Zip-E-Mate and the Wizard. Now is a perfect time to use that 15% off newsletter coupon and get yourself a couple of sets! We have ovals, circles, squares and rectangles in plain and scallops. We also have several of those shapes in small and large and this gives you more options for nesting sizes. Also, we have the new Megabilities, which are the large, oblong rectangles! Hurry in! These won't last long!
We also still have a great selection of the new Cuttlebug folders... Swiss Dots, Perfectly Paisley, Fantasy Floral, Distressed Stripes and Birds and Swirls, as well as the ever-popular Divine Swirls. Be sure to let your friends who have been searching for these know that we've got them here!
A new item that arrived yesterday are these 1 pound packages of scraps from Die Cuts with a View! These retail for only $4.49! They're a great way to add some colors to your designs without having to buy full sheets of cardstock. If you're not familiar with Die Cuts with a View cardstock, this is the perfect chance to get acquainted. Some of the cardstock included in these packages have a white core. If you tear the cardstock, you will see the white edge. But look what else you can do with it!
Run this cardstock through your die-cutting system with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then lightly sand the surface of the cardstock and look what you get!
Isn't that cool? So hurry in and pick up a package before they're all gone!

Don't forget the Boxes, Bags and Bows demo coming up this Friday, June 27th from 3:00 to 5:00! I've got some cute little boxes and bags for you to see, and they're super easy to make! Hope to see you on Friday!

Happy stamping!

Perfect Pearls demo

Here are the cards that were created for the Perfect Pearls demonstration last Tuesday, June 10th! If you missed the demo, and you'd like more information about how to use the Perfect Pearls, don't hesitate to email me, call the store, or ask for me next time you're here! We sold out of the Perfect Pearls at the demo, but I do have more on order!
You can also find a little more information about these cards by clicking here.
Don't forget, there are still 4 openings available at the Proud to be an American cards class on Tuesday, June 24th. The class is from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Also, be sure you are actually reading your newsletter! The girls have been asking customers as they're ringing up their sales if they'd like to use their newsletter coupon, and many people have said "Coupon? What coupon?" You don't want to miss out on getting something for 15% off, do you? :)
Happy stamping!

Fill in the blanks below to find out what new embossing folders we have in stock! The first person to leave a comment here with the correct answers gets to pick one folder of their choice for FREE with any purchase of $5.00 or more!

From Creative Impressions, we have a fresh new batch of felt, sheer and iridescent Blossoms & Leaves and matching brads, along with the ever-popular Grid Ribbon!

And more copies of Take Ten and The Stampers' Sampler are on the shelf!

My apologies to those of you that are drumming your fingers waiting for me to upload the cards from last Tuesday's Perfect Pearls demonstration! It's been crazy lately, and the pictures are still in the camera, so I can't do it unless I remember to bring the camera to work with me! I promise, I'll try to have it done tomorrow!

Speaking of the Perfect Pearls demo, I'd like to thank everyone for coming out last Tuesday! That was the biggest crowd I've had for a demo in awhile, and it was great to see so many of you!

We have 6 customers in the All-American cards class tonight (there's room for 2 more if you want to come... just give us a call at 330-669-3737 before you come to make sure the spots haven't been filled!) The same class will be held on Tuesday, June 24 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and spots are still available for that class, too! Click here to see the cards being made in the June class!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy stamping!

Greetings! Many of you are already buzzing with excitement over the Copic marker demonstration to be held on July 25th! I've received lots of emails and answered a lot of questions already, and I'm so thrilled that you're so excited about this!

To help add to the excitement, the Certification instructor at Copic, Marianne Walker has started a blog with a lot of great tips and techniques. If you want to start gathering information now you might want to check it out! The blog can be found at http://ilikemarkers.blogspot.com/ If you leave a comment of appreciation for her, be sure to let her know that Tammy at Toyrifix in Smithville sent you! I'm hoping to get her to come to Cleveland sometime in the near future and teach her certification class. The class is unfortunately only for teachers, retailers, etc. but I would gain so much knowledge that I could pass on to you in one of her classes!

It's June already?

Isn't that hard to believe? In just a few more days, my kids will be done with school for the summer and many other kids are already done! Time sure does fly, doesn't it!

Be sure to stop in soon for the June Stamp-of-the-Month from Great Impressions! This month is fantastic with a whole ocean/seashore/beach theme that I know you'll just love! As of this post Great Impressions doesn't have it displayed on their site, but hopefully by the time you read this they will. Check it out here!

Did you receive your June/July newsletter yet? Be sure to read it carefully and don't forget to bring it with you when you come to the store and use that 15% off coupon! Many people have already been in to use theirs on that one special item they've been wanting and wanting!

We have lots of new items to tempt you to use that coupon, too! New stamp sets are here from Cornish Heritage Farms, as well as the Thomas Kinkade stamps. New stamps are also on the way from Pink Cat Studio and My Favorite Things! And you won't want to miss out on a cute little set that just arrived from Serendipity Stamps called If Life Gives You Limes! It's an adorable little cling set, and I've got Bo Bunny paper and a great card to display with this set for inspiration!

Everyone seems to be buzzing about the Copic marker demonstration coming up on July 25th! If you've got questions before that, don't hesitate to ask when you're here! You can also always email me or call!

Have a great week! Happy stamping!
