Just a quick note to let you know of some new arrivals in the stamp department!

FLOWER SOFT has arrived! Many of you have asked me about this, and now it's here! We have the glue, the wires, and Flower Soft mixes in Heather, Fuschia, Summer and Lavender. (Many of their solid colors are currently unavailable.) I myself haven't had a chance to play with this stuff, but those who have used it say it's wonderful! We'll have a demo table set up at the Card Buffet on May 12 and May 16 for you to give this a try!

We also have some new stamps in stock from Inkadinkado, DRS Designs, and Stamping Bella (including some Fellas and Kettos!) Also, the new "window" designs from Art Impressions! With these stamps, you can create what looks like the window of a bakery, candy shoppe, sewing shoppe or a cafe and each set has great sentiments to go with the designs!

Have a great weekend, and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Upcoming Events!

There are many events coming up in the next two months, and these will be detailed in your May/June newsletter but I thought I'd give you all a little heads-up on everything!

I mentioned in my last post that the Copic Certification class is now open to the public. I need to mention a few things about that to avoid some confusion that has come up. The Copic Certification class is taught by an instructor from Copic (Sally Lynn MacDonald, to be exact!) Sally Lynn is nationally known for her design work with Ranger, Copic, Prima Flowers, Tattered Angels, and a variety of other companies and has even been featured on HGTV! We're thrilled to have her coming to Toyrifix to teach the Certification class! The Certification class is specifically for store owners/managers/employees, and stamp company designers. It is NOT a beginner class. Registration for the class has been going on for several weeks, and because there are still some openings, the class was opened to the general public. Be advised the cost of this class is $120.00. It is entirely run through Copic, and we here at Toyrifix have nothing to do with it except to provide a host facility. If you have questions about the class, please email me or call and I'll try to answer them or put you in contact with someone who can help.

If you are interested in learning more about Copic markers or have been debating buying them, you will definitely want to attend the Copic 101 classes that will be taught by Sally Lynn at the store on Saturday, May 30th! Classes will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon, and another class from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This is a hands-on class where you will complete several cards under Sally Lynn's guidance and will learn all you need to know before making the investment in the markers! The cost of this class is $30, and registration can be done by calling the store or stopping in. For those taking the class, we will be offering a discount on Copic markers that day!

As mentioned above, Sally Lynn is also a designer for Prima Flowers, and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30th she will be offering a Prima Card Buffet class! Join Sally Lynn as she puts on her apron and presents this delectable delight - 2 hours of creating 10 cards with gorgeous papers, lace, flowers, Glimmer Mist and the 'buffet of Prima goodness'...all laid out complete with crystals, leaves, buttons, ribbon, bling and flowers in every color you can cr‑EAT‑e with! An extra helping of coloring with Copic Markers will be offered. Enter to win a great PRIMA door prize! The cost of this class is also $30 and registration can be done by phone or by stopping in at the store. A discount coupon will also be offered to those attending the class!

The next Card Buffet is coming up on Tuesday, May 12th and Saturday, May 16th! The cost of the Buffet is $20 and registrations are currently being taken by phone or by stopping at the store! They're filling up quickly!

Finally, how many times have you shown your completed cards and papercraft projects to a friend and had them say "Oh, I wish I could do that!" Well, coming up in June we will have a chance for beginners to learn all they need to know to get started with a new Stamping Basics Class! The dates and cost of the class are not finalized yet, but will be sometime in June. This is open to anyone... from newbies who have never inked a stamp, to experienced stampers who might be in a rut and need to get back to basics! And, if you have a friend register for the class who is not currently receiving our Stamp News newsletter, you will be receiving a thank you in the form of a discount on your next purchase! Watch the upcoming newsletter for more information!

I wish you all a happy and blessed Easter holiday! Christ is Risen!

P.S. Coming in July.... free Make-and-Take Saturdays!

Just an FYI to anyone interested.... the Copic Certification class that will be held at the store on Sunday, May 31st is now open to the public. Please follow this link to the Copic blog for more information on signing up!

"I Can See Clearly Now!" card class

We have a new stamping/card class at the store coming up this Tuesday, April 14th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, April 22nd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. There are still openings available in the afternoon class, however the evening class is full. If you're interested and can only come in the evening, please ask to have your name added to the waiting list! If there are enough people that want another evening class, I'll add it to the schedule!
Above are some sneak peeks of the cards that we'll be making! I'm so happy with how they turned out and I know you will LOVE THEM!!!
